About us
The Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) is a Dutch International Primary and Secondary School offering international education in English to 2400 students of more than 80 different nationalities who are (temporarily) living in the Netherlands and are enjoying high quality, accessible, community based international learning.

The AICS is a partly-state-funded community school, which enables us to deliver high-quality education at competitive fees. We were the first school in the Netherlands to offer the full IB continuum (IB, PYP, MYP, DP and CP) and are a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

About the position
You are a caring and service-oriented professional who enjoys supporting students, staff, and visitors at the Welcome Desk of our South East campus, ensuring a warm and professional first point of contact. You remain calm in challenging situations, value safety, and contribute to a secure and well-organised school environment by following procedures and responding appropriately when needed. You are flexible and open to collaborating with colleagues across campuses.

  • Service-oriented and welcoming, making students, parents, staff and visitors feel supported and welcome;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the telephone;
  • Calm and efficient in busy situations, maintaining overview at the Welcome Desk;
  • Proactive and flexible in supporting administrative tasks across the school where needed;
  • Reliable and hands-on, with a practical approach to daily operations;
  • Excellent English and Dutch communication skills and awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Salary in pay scale 4, based upon knowledge and experience (min. €2524,- max. €3270,- full-time per month, before tax);
