A unique opportunity to work at a pioneering Dutch school in Amsterdam with a varied and international curriculum. The Visual Arts Team works hard to support each other. Collaboration skills, open-mindedness and a willingness to learn are essential. This vacancy will be about replacement of a Visual Arts IB DP teacher. You will take over the lessons in pre-DP, DP1 and DP2, but also will have to grade the work of the students in DP2 and organize the art exhibition.

  • An immediate contract for 0.4 FTE (2 days per week).
  • Gross monthly salary: min. € 3,000.- | max. € 6,059.- (scale LB/LC/LD – CAO Vo/PO) full-time basis;

Successful candidates will most likely fulfill the following requirements:

  • Designs, develops and implements quality lesson plans;
  • Has experience working in IB DP;
  • Fluent in the English language;
  • Has experience as a form teacher or class mentor;
  • Bachelor (or Master) of Education.

DENISE is a school for 1000 students from age 4-18 years and 125 enthusiastic teachers and support staff. DENISE is a member of the Language Friendly School network and accredited as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. We provide education, tailored to meet the needs of local and international students, some of whom must first learn Dutch and English, often as a second and third (or more) language. We strive to optimize available resources and help learners learn using proven pedagogical and didactic principles.

DENISE offers bilingual Dutch-English IPC and IMYC programmes in the primary and lower secondary schools. In the upper secondary years, students have the opportunity to achieve either a Dutch language MAVO or HAVO diploma, or an English language IB Diploma for entry to university, equivalent to the VWO diploma.
